Obtained his B.E. from University of Mysore during 1979 in E& C Engg, M.E (Applied Electronics) from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore during 1989 and Ph.D from Anna University Madras during 2008.He is serving this institution since 1982 and presently he is a professor in the Dept of Electronics &Communication Engg. His field of interest is Medical Image processing and embedded systems. Currently he is the PG coordinator for the M.Tech VLSI and Embedded systems course at the Dept.

He has published 12 papers in national journals and 4 papers in International journals. Also guiding 4 research candidates for Ph.D programme under university of Mysore, One candidate under VTU, Belgaum. Has conducted several short term courses and conferences and actively participate in the student and staff activities at the college.

He is a life member of IE (India), IETE, ISTE, SSI, and has participated in various national and international conferences and seminars in India and abroad.

About Research Activities at the college:

PET Research foundation was established during 2002 to enhance the research activities at the college. This centre has research candidates being guided by the faculty members and also external industrial experts. About 50 research candidates have been enrolled and working towards the award of Ph.D and 5 candidates are being guided for M.Sc.Tech by research programme. The research center has got affiliation to University of Mysore, VTU Belgaum

The PET research foundation has taken up the research and consultancy activities which are department centric and have been gaining momentum. Research projects proposed by the faculty and supported by various government and research organizations are helping in infrastructural development. Though sponsored projects are basically of UG and PG academic in nature they are aimed at results useful for the Industry. The coordination work, compilation and dissemination of scientific and technical information, registration for patent of products etc are being taken up by the centre.
